Om Shanti

This is the avyakt murli from 27th December 1983.Baba is distinguishing between the different kinds of beggars. The royal beggars are those who are asking God for something but not realizing that they are actually beggars. Then baba gives us this comparison between those who are really begging, and those who are royal beggars, and then those who are souls who have rights.

So this is a very interesting point for us to think about. The idea of the self-sovereign, the person who has a sense that they have rights to the gifts of baba, which baba speaks about as the imperishable attainments, and when you feel that baba is yours, and you belong to baba, and you have rights, it’s a very different consciousness, a different stage of self-honor, self-regard, self-respect.

The thing that takes us away from this sense of rights is comparing whats mine and whats yours, and there we come down on to the ground. Babas talking about a different kind of spinning. Spinning the cycle of self-realization, when you really know who you are and what you are, this connects you with the rights that you have from baba. How does this make you happy and content? I think one of the deepest experiences and most uplifting experience is to realize that the very best thing of all is that I am me, and then you can never be drawn to compare yourself with anyone else, either you put them up, you put yourself down, or you put yourself up,you put them down.

When you are  compared with another person, you are not in the consciousness of the self actually. Baba is the bestower and when we belong to him we become his sons, his heirs ,then whatever baba can do ,whatever baba has, that becomes ours as a right and so baba is asking us to come into the consciousness of being a master bestower ,and when you have everything you can freely pass every thing on, and that is a very beautiful stage.

A  very interesting pair of words baba uses yad for remembrance and faryad for complaints. It is an issue that comes up.A person feels that they have been wronged and they will respond to that sense of being wronged by making a complaint, and actually coming into that consciousness of being wronged means a person immediately moves away from the consciousness of having rights and of being the one who has attained everything. So remember that and then you can become an absolutely detached observer of anything that happens in the drama knowing that it is what it is and it has a deep secret behind it, which is for the purpose of us making a jump ahead.

So along with the idea of your stage being like a dress that you adopt, an attitude that you adopt baba talks about the two colors. You present yourself as one thing to one set of people and then you become something different at a different moment to a different set of people, that is like maybe a person with a forked tongue. You say one thing here and something else there; and here baba describes it as a person of two colors. Baba compares us to the sandalwood tree which is full of fragrance and when sandalwood is rubbed together, it gives off fragrance, whereas when dry bamboos are rubbed together, which don’t come from the same root, they are from different sets, the dry bamboo rub together and they create a forest fire. So baba is shifting us into this single tree of which we are all branches but we come from the same seed , and this then enables us to interact producing fragrances rather than on the basis of difference, produce conflict. Baba gives us a beautiful description of what a yogi is and a yogi life. A yogi life is somebody who’s always connected with baba, what baba stands for what baba speaks about, what babas qualities are and these things are revealed through your thoughts, words and actions, through your vibration through your atmosphere. This is a 24/7 matter it is what you are and this is why it is called your dharma so our dharma is to be yogis, and not just sitting in yoga for a few hours.

Another word pair that baba uses which is helpful for us to remember is harshit, cheerful, and akershit, attracted to the world of sorrow, so we are cheerful as a matter of choice not as  matter of depending on external circumstances and if we are pulled by something which would make us sorrowful, we have to also realize that that is also a choice and so let us continue to make the choice to feel happy about everything regardless of whether it could bring us into sorrow or not, and we must exercise our power of choice.

Baba gives us a very beautiful blessing, the blessing of being imperishable and imperishable means once you have been called to baba, once baba has enabled us to understand ourselves, understand baba, experience ourselves and baba as what we really are, let that understanding be constant, continuous. In the mind you experience good days bad days, it’s up and down but the intellect which can remember what it really is, is able to actually direct the mind and rule the mind, and become independent of the ups and downs of feelings which can be consequences of karmic accounts or external circumstances or so on but these are temporary aberrations that have to be endured. This is then the meaning of being the lotus, the one who is being detached from the pull and push of the world but one is always above and this is what makes us special beings. Baba talks to us about faith and the connection between faith and victory, whether is faith in the self in baba in drama in the family, this faith carries us across the different challenges and this is why the power of faith actually assures us victory, so we have a right to assert our faith and claim our victory.

Our faith is not a blind faith, but it’s a faith based on recognition, and its connected with having fully empowered ourselves so that we can have faith in ourselves and we know our strengths and we know that baba is with us and behind us and backing us up and therefore we can choose to assert and exert that power of faith and then Maya which tries to pull you into doubt, becomes incapable of doing anything to shake your faith.

In the blessing baba gives us the importance of amrit vela, and once dadi had told me that if you can do amrit vela regularly, then you can do anything, because at amrit vela you get so connected with your subconscious with your karmic accounts with your weaknesses and there are many things which exist to get in the way of your powerful yoga at amrit vela so the daily practice and intention to be fresh to be functional, to have good thinking at amrit vela is a very great empowering process and those who do this regularly everyday and keep themselves awake and alert ,these are also very lucky ones, very fortunate ones and these are the ones who create their fortune.

Also baba is talking in the slogan of the power of truth, and a person who is true to themselves, who is true to the truth that they understand, these are people who contain greatness within themselves.

Om shanti
